I wasn't sensitive to chapsticks until...
A beehive fell in the backyard. Bees had taken over an owl box installed by the previous owners and while these seemingly docile bees were very friendly while their house was standing, when the beehive fell... well I've never seen angrier bees or been stung so many times (about half a dozen times over a couple days).
Within a few months following that angry bee encounter, I started noticing that my lips would feel raw and swollen after applying my normal lip balm.
Looking at the ingredients list to figure out what was going on, beeswax stood out as the single ingredient I might now be sensitive to and after a quick Google search and not finding any vegan lip balms with ingredients I adored, decided it might be high time for Rain Organica to add a vegan lip balm to the product catalog.
You'll find one of two vegan chapsticks in stock. One contains cranberry seed oil (rich in phytosterols, Vitamin A, and Vitamin E) and the second contains rosehip seed oil (rich in beta carotene, anti-oxidants, and especially good for dry, damaged skin). Once stock runs out of the lip balm containing cranberry seed oil, we'll update to reflect only the rosehip seed oil formula. Both are equally great for chapped lips.
